Painting Class with Ron Thomson

I am taking a painting class with Ron Thomson of Southern Exposure Art Gallery in Railroad Square Art Park, Tallahassee, FL. I am enjoying these Saturday morning lessons very much and am learning how to expand my existing style of approaching painting. Pictured above is the second painting I’ve finished for the class entitled “Capitol Building.” I’m trying to work in the trees of landscapes into my existing interest in cityscapes. My next painting will have even more trees in it! Also included are the stages of the painting that led up to the finished product. Hope you enjoy my blog!
